@shownames[:<agent>]=<n|y>

Hide the names of nearby avatars from the user and prevent trivial methods used to deduce names.

  • [<agent>] Optional; Adding the UUID of an avatar as an exception, in effect blocking all names except for those specified.

Shownames is a wide ranging and deeply intrusive command, the intent is to prevent the user from being able to easily identify local users by name. It is not the blanket removal of all names everywhere.

@shownametags[:<agent>]=<n|y>

Similar to @shownames but far less intrusive, this command removes only floating name tags from nearby avatars.

  • [<agent>] Optional; Adding the UUID of an avatar as an exception, in effect blocking all tags except for those specified.
